SCHOOLS AND CHILDREN'S GROUPS

Paradise Valley Springs provides a great hands on experience with friendly animals for children of any age, all in a safe and clean environment.

WHEN CAN WE VISIT?
The park is available any day of the year for you to visit.

We are open from 8.00am with last entry into the park at 5.00pm. The Lion pride can be viewed at any time of the day.

ARE THERE LIMITS ON GROUP SIZES?
There are no restrictions on group numbers, and the park is large enough to hold many people at one time.

We require (at the minimum) one adult for every seven children. A much higher ratio of adults to children is strongly recommended when accompanying young children, as per your policy.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Most groups allow for around two hours at our park.

WHAT HAPPENS ON ARRIVAL?
Payment is due on arrival. Companies/schools may pre arrange to have an invoice sent after your visit in case numbers change.

One of our staff members will go over safety points and park directions on arrival of all children's groups.

CAN WE FEED THE ANIMALS?
Bags of Animal food or Trout and Duck food are available for purchase from our reception for $2.00 per bag. Please do not bring your own food or bread to feed our animals as they are on a special diet.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
The park is set outdoors with several shelters along the way. Bring hats and sunscreen, or raincoats if it is raining. The pathways are well maintained so gumboots are not needed during winter, but flat footwear is recommended.

Cameras and videocameras are allowed (for non-commercial use only).

ARE THERE PICNIC AREAS?
We have large grassed areas at the front of reception, as well as two grassed areas inside our park - next to our kea aviary or lion enclosure.

We sell hot and cold drinks, icecreams, pies and snack foods at reception.

ACCESSIBILITY?
All pathways are flat cobblestones or boardwalks which makes for easy walking. The park is pushchair and wheelchair friendly. The only area with steps is our Elevated Treetops walkway and this is optional.

FIRST AID?
First Aid and an AED can be found at our main reception. Staff have knowledge of First Aid and most hold current certificates. All staff are trained in emergency, evacuation and health and safety procedures.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are only 10-15 minutes from Rotorua city. Click here to see our map.

Plenty of parking is available for buses and cars.

HOW DO WE FIND OUT PRICES AND MORE INFORMATION?
