Paradise Valley Springs first opened to the public in 1939 as a Trout sanctuary. Stuart Hamlett purchased the park from the original owner in 1975, along with his brother John who retired in 2004.
The park is a privately owned family business, with 100% of funds coming directly from our customers.
It has been extensively developed over the last 35 years into the world class attraction that it is today. New developments and upgrades are on-going, and there have been many additions to the park in the last few years.
Qualmark (New Zealand tourism’s official mark of quality) first awarded us Enviro-Gold status in late 2009.
Paradise Valley Springs is open every day of the year (365 days), including all public holidays. We're open every day from 8.00am until dark, with last entry to the Park at 5.00pm.
Lion Feeding is every day at 2.30pm.
Kea and Possum feeding happens at 3.00pm daily.
Be sure to allow at least one to two hours for your visit.
We hope to see you at Paradise soon!
