Pigs

Kune Kune

The Kune Kune pigs are believed to have been first introduced to New Zealand by Chinese cooks on sailing ships that visited New Zealand around Captain Cook's time.  They are very friendly and have a very gentle nature.  They make great pets, and can be taught tricks!

Boris our boar will usually sit on command (and for food of course), and Bella has a beautiful nature and enjoys a good pat.

Captain Cookers

First introduced by Captain Cook in 1769 - 70, Captain Cooker pigs are found throughout New Zealand and are highly prized by hunters for their lean tasty meat. Come to Paradise Valley Springs where you will get to know Barney the boar, and his Captain Cooker family.
