The Kakariki, red crested and yellow crested native parakeets. This beautiful forest dwelling native bird inhabits lowland native forests and also off-shore islands. The Kakariki is a protected bird species.
Our family of Kakariki will be moving to a brand new aviary soon. They will be sure to enjoy the extra space, added sunlight, more plants to explore and tree stumps to nest in that the new aviary will offer.
